Hunting Introduction

Whitetails was conceived and dedicated to one simple idea. Large whitetail deer can be grown in our part of the world. Not in Michigan or Wisconsin, but right in the middle of Mississippi. Every year or so we would hear of a massive 300# plus deer taken in Mississippi, Louisiana or Alabama. Added to this we were reminded of high scoring bucks that were being taken in Mississippi and of the #1 position of the Fulton Buck. We decided to do everything we could to answer the question; Why Not Here? We had followed the progress of the Sanctuary and The Legends in northern Michigan for many years and had seen the large bodied deer that they were producing. In 1995 we were fortunate enough to make a quick visit to see first hand why they were so successful. We were very impressed with their programs.
